EU's external assistance disbursements (in million euros)

Figure 2
shows that EDF disbursements
managed by EuropeAid represent
around 30% of the EU’s spending on
external assistance over the 2010-12 period. It should be noted that this figure may be slightly underestimated, since it does
not include either the part of the EDFs managed by a different Commission department
(the Directorate-General for Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection, which is in charge
of 1.2% of the expenditure from the EDFs) or the resources managed by the EIB.
