The Commission encourages exploitation of all the possibilities offered by ongoing and new trade agreements and by the reduction of non-tariff and sanitary barriers to trade, especially in significant markets such as the USA and Japan. As shown in Figure 8, EU dairy exports, particularly cheese, increased recently and are expected to continue to grow.
